Blue Angels Practice Air Shows

Aug. 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 30, 31
Location: Museum Flight Line NAS Pensacola
Enjoy the thrill of the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Team, the Blue Angels. The show begins at 8:30 am and is free and open to the public. On the 17th, 24th and 31st there will be a Blues autograph session inside the National Naval Aviation Museum.

IMAX Giant Screen at the National Naval Aviation Museum

Location: Pensacola Museum of Flight, NAS Pensacola
August IMAX showings include Fighter Pilot at 10am, The Magic of Flight at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. Born to Be Wild shows at noon and 4pm and Hubble shows at 2pm daily.

"Chagall for Children"

Through Sept. 4
Location: Pensacola Museum of Art at 407 S. Jefferson Street.
10am to 5pm Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. On loan from the Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago, the exhibit features hands-on stations that allow children to create mosaics, weave tapestries, after Chagall masterpieces by use of digital touch screens. Children can also conduct symphonies and, through the use of videos, insert themselves into one of his paintings. 850-432-6247.

Location: Quayside Art Gallery at 17 E. Zaragoza Street
The show features the work of Diane Brim, Marilyn Givens and Fred Neveu. 850-438-2363.

Palafox Market

Location: Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza on Palafox Street from Chase to Wright streets in downtown Pensacola
Local farmers and bakers offer locally grown and prepared food items such as meat, poultry, and cheese. Artisans also offer antiques, hand made art and collectibles.

Storytime at West Florida Public Library

Saturdays at 2pm
Location: Westside Branch Library at 1580 W. Cervantes Street

Sunset Seawall Beach Walk

All Summer
Location: Gulf Islands National Seashore Fort Pickens Area, Pensacola Beach
Walk along the Fort Pickens seawall near the beach for an enjoyable sunset view. A National Park Service ranger will accompany visitors. The program is free, but there is an $8 entrance fee per vehicle to the Fort Pickens area - 850-934-2600.
